5 Tips for Choosing Your Rug Size from Art & Hide

1)Size of the Room/Area

The size of your rug usually comes down to the size of the room or the area within a room that you’re trying to frame.

2)Go Big or Go Home
The rule of thumb usually with rug purchases is to go as large as you can afford, particularly with large rooms.

3)Bedroom Lounging Needs More
For a bedroom or lounge room, it definitely looks best to have slightly more generous proportions. For example, having the edge of the rug running just underneath the bed or couch.

4)Small Has A Place in a Home
Don’t discount smaller rugs though; they can be perfect for small spaces or a sitting room area, with chairs around the outside of the rug, for example.
