5 Ways to Clean with Feng Shui Twist!

5 Ways to Clean with Feng Shui Twist!

June is officially here and before that first official day of summer hits, you still have time to spring clean. These tips from Laura Carrillo founder of Narrative Space incorporated feng shui to take your reorganizing and tidying up to the next level.

When spring approaches, it’s like a fresh start. It’s the perfect time to clear away those things that no longer serve you.  I’d like to give you some tips on how to Spring Clean for maximum results from a Feng Shui perspective!

There are five categories of items that by virtue of removing from your home, you can create sacred space for blessings. Releasing the following five categories of items from your home will remove energetic obstacles and debris that may have been holding you back and weighing you down energetically.

1. Items from your romantic past!
I’m talking letters, pictures, gifts et all from former loves.  These items are holding the energetic vibration from those relationships, thus taking up vital emotional space that could be better served with new love.

2. Anything that is broken and cannot or will not be fixed.
These items represent broken “Chi” or energy and depending on where they reside in your home can represent any of the 9 life sectors in the Feng Shui energetic life map.   I’m sure you don’t want broken Chi in any of these:  Finances, Fame, Love, Family, Health, Children/Creativity, Skills/Knowledge, Career, Travel/Helpful People.

3. Depressing or negative art that brings you down.
This should be self-evident but I can’t stress enough what a powerful impact your art has on your personal Narrative and your conscious and subconscious mind.  Depending on where this art lands in the aforementioned Bagua; it can negatively impact that area of life…

4. Ugly or unwanted items that take up space but don’t add any value.
Same principle as the art.  Ideally, just have things you love.

5. Clothes that don’t fit or flatter.
This edit will make the most of the wardrobe you have and make room for beautiful new pieces!  Donate what you don’t need and it’s a win/win!

I love the positive vibes this gives off! It’s so hard to get rid of things or let go of them sometimes, but in order to live a cleaner, more organized life we may have to!
