The following tips and images were provided by BSB Octavia Goode who brought chic simplicity to a recent bridal shower she planned.
1. Planning the Theme:
“Simplicity is the keynote of all true elegance” – Coco Chanel
The shower was Kate Spade inspired. We wanted the Bridal Shower to reflect the Bride! Everything about the decor and event was girly, elegant, and beautiful.
2. Decorations and Details:
I love the dessert table and the pink bird cages on the mantel with “love ” in between them. I loved details like the Bride balloons cascading across the mantel and the personalized dinner menu. The bridal shower colors (pink and gold) coordinate’s with the wedding colors (blush and champagne gold)! Gold chargers, fine china , champagne glasses, floral arrangements ( done by Sheena Pouye) and pictures of memories added special touches to each table.
3. Menu:
The dinner menu was shrimp and grits, chicken and waffles, stuffed mushrooms, fruit salad, and a salad bar!
4. Dessert Table:
Cup Cakes, Banana Pudding in Champagne Glasses with a Strawberry accent and Popcorn Favors that said ‘Jason Popped the Question to Lakendra’
5. Seeing Her Smile
What’s better than seeing the bride happy? I loved seeing her smile and knowing she loved it. Krystal McFadden, myself (Octavia Goode) , and Sherita Ross put so much time and love into this. Lakendra instantly fell in love with the setting. Sherita allowed us to use her beautiful 6,000 square foot home in Atlanta, Georgia! Overall, the bride was very excited!
