Who are some of your business idols?
I love the creativeness of Ceci New York and David Tutera and the simple, but elegant styling of Calvin Klein.
Do you have any mentors?
I would have to say my mother. I have been taking in her creativity ever since I was a little girl. She is a seamstress in her own right and create anything from looking at a picture. She is the only person I trusted to make my gorgeous wedding dress.
What is your favorite thing about being southern?
Family and food. It doesn’t matter what is going on in our lives, we always come together to eat great food and enjoy each other’s company.
What is your favorite southern dish?
I would have to say, shrimp and grits.
What is the most important thing you have done to build your business?
I have become more engaged with social media, networking, and researching.
What is your favorite item or piece of clothing to wear/use while doing business?
I love wearing a blazer. For some reason, it makes me feel empowered.
