How did you meet?
We met at a yogurt shop, Yogo Novus, in Columbia, South Carolina. Delandous lived in Augusta and was in Columbia visiting his mother. This was his first time at Yogo Novus and I guess Delandous wanted to try the place out before getting on the road to head back to Augusta. I just happen to be there to assist him in making his yogurt selection. We spent hours talking at Yogo Novus until they closed. It was there where we exchanged numbers.
How long did you date?
We dated for two years.
How did he propose?
I went to Augusta to hang out with Delandous on a Saturday. He told me prior to coming to wear comfortable clothing. We ended up going for a 10 mile bike ride along the bike trail at Savannah Rapids Pavilion. When we were about halfway along the trail he stopped, and wanted me to park my bike along the trail. I was like…..Oh no! What if somebody comes and takes our bikes????? He convinced me that the bikes would not go anywhere. I took his word and followed him. Well….he led me to a steep, rocky area and wanted me to climb down. My, my, my….the things you do when in love. So of course, I struggled climbing down this rocky, steep, slope. At the bottom was a beautiful waterfall! He told me to look at a waterfall, and when I turned back around he was on one knee and proposed. Now he just put this beautiful ring on my finger and wanted me to climb back up to the top where our bikes were located. The climb up was even harder because I now have a ring on my finger and didn’t want to scratch it against the rocks while climbing up. I tried to use every finger, but my ring finger to grab onto rocks while climbing back up to the top. Once to the top, and on our bikes again (which were where we left them), I began to ride my bike with my left hand raised off of the handle bar in fear of bending the band! Lol! It was a very sweet, and memorable proposal.

It was not just one thing that stood out. He just changed the way I lived and felt from the beginning and we’ve being growing together ever since.
What is the cutest thing he has done for you without you asking?
It was the simplest things. He cut my grass and washed my car when I was “Living Single” in my townhouse. Random flowers and cards are a plus!
