The romance of nature is incomparable. That’s why BSB can’t resist a good southern outdoor wedding. This South Carolina belle gives us three reasons she had an outdoor wedding in North Carolina wedding.
1. Venue
The venue has a beautiful garden and water fountain that we absolutely loved and wanted as a backdrop. Also, by having the ceremony outside the photographer would be able to capture stunning photos with the natural lighting.
2. Relaxing
Not only was this an initimate setting, but it also created a relaxing environment for our guest.
3. Scenery
Additionally, we wanted to give our guests a different scenery since the reception was inside.
Ashlee and Rashad’s outdoor Fayetteville summer wedding was just as beautiful as their union. The beautiful outdoor scenery wasn’t the only thing that sold the show. Whether it was the sophisticated wedding arch adorned with a chandelier or the deep purple bridesmaids dresses– these nuptials exuded southern elegance. Read on to find out how this couple’s special day came together and made their love official.

How did you meet?
Our families have known one another for years since our two towns are approximately eight miles apart. His mother was my beautician and I have basically known his family all my life. However, due to my parents relocating across country for the military, we reconnected and began dating in 2010.
How long did you date?
We dated for 5 years.
How did he propose?
The proposal took place on the weekend of my 25th birthday in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, with an agenda planned by Rashad. Once arriving, the couple visited the famous LOVE Park, the Rocky statue, and many historical landmarks. Before leaving, Rashad suggested they go to the rooftop to view the skyline. While viewing the scenery, Rashad asked me, “Are you going to take a picture?” Hesitantly, I responded, “Of what?” I began taking pictures, and when she turned around Rashad was down on one knee.
When did you know he was the one?
At a very young age when I had a crush on him.
What is the cutest thing he has done for you without you asking?
Purchase me flowers weekly, and surprise me by placing them in random places around our home.
What is something you love about him that has completely changed your life?
His charisma and eagerness to go above and beyond for me and our future together.
What part of wedding planning made you crazy?
The guest list definitely drove me crazy during the planning process. It’s a very long process when you’re waiting on responses and trying your hardest to meet deadlines.
What part of wedding planning could you not live without?
I totally could not live without Mrs. Pearlice, our wedding planner.
What was your first thought the day after your engagement?
“Oh my gosh! He really chose me to be his wife!”
What was your favorite part about the ceremony?
My favorite part was walking down the aisle to my emotional husband *blushes*.
What was your favorite part about the wedding?
Literally everything. It was amazing to see all of the hard work and vision executed.
