About the Couple
Shjuan and Gary met in 2013 while she was working as a nurse in a local hospital caring for his ailing father. It took 2 years for the bride to agree to go on the first date with the groom, but once she did they became inseparable. Gary proposed to Shjuan and September 06, 2015 with the assistance of street performers in New Orleans, Louisiana. They were married on October 08, 2016 in a beautiful outside wedding in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
Shjuan is an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc and is employed as a family nurse practitioner for a rural health care office in Marion, Alabama. Gary is the owner of S.A.S. Security Company, LLC, a Tuscaloosa-based business operation. He also is a military veteran and served our country in Iraq. They affectionately call each other “Beauty” and “Beast”.
