 What services do you provide?

My goal is provide life and style inspiration through both my Instagram and my blog. But I also love meeting and making new friends, especially via social. So please don’t hesitate to stop by and say hi!

Why did you decide to start a business?

I decided to start My Gorgeous Chaos during my senior year of college because I was scared of graduation and had no idea what was coming next for me. Typically when I don’t know what to do I write, its the most natural way for me to express myself so that’s what I did. Today I write about all the things; food, fashion, travel, beauty! My thinking both back then and today is that we shouldn’t have to wait for everything to be “perfect” in our lives to celebrate. There will ALWAYS be some sort of underlying chaos surrounding us, but that doesn’t mean we can’t celebrate the beautiful things too.

Before you owned a business, what did you do? I don’t blog full time, so by day I am the Regional Marketing Manager for a quick service restaurant. I have a degree in PR and have worked in marketing in the past so I love it!

What is your favorite client story?

I think my favorite thing about blogging is having people come up to me and say that they love reading my posts or that they’ve been inspired by an outfit. Honestly some days you fall into those feelings of “no one is reading this”, but hearing from my viewers really makes all the hard work worth it.

What is the most important thing you have done to build your

business?

To me the most important thing I’ve done to build this blog is 1. believing that I could do this and 2. practicing consistency. I think having the faith that I could build something out of nothing in such a saturated market is honestly half the battle. Granted I am no where near where I want to be, but the fact that I believe I can do this and consistently work towards my goals are super important.

Who are some of your business idols?

I love Myleik Teele! She’s the founder of curlBOX. Seriously if you don’t follow her on Snap and Instagram pick up your phone right now and do it @myleik. She’s so well spoken and provides daily “get off your ass” inspiration haha which I love. Blogger wise, I love.

What is your favorite thing about being southern?

For me its hands down the food and the hospitality.

What is your favorite southern entrees or sides? Why?

I love a red velvet cake and macaroni and cheese because my earliest food memories are being in the kitchen with my mom or my grandma while they made those dishes.
