What do you love about southern decor?

We are eclectic designers and love all things eclectic therefore what we love most about southern decor is the use of mixed patterns. Florals with checks and stripes; houndstooth and gingham; and all over plaid. We are waiting for the client that will allow us to do plaid everywhere. Eclectic design makes great use of ideas that may seem outdated and antiquated but with unique application and juxtaposing the right elements, we can give new life to old ideas.

What is your favorite room to decorate and why?

Our favorite rooms to decorate are rooms for teenagers, children and newborns. We are always in search of the opportunity to be equally creative and bold. Children spaces, ask us to dream big, looking through the gaze and imagination of our a?biggest little dreamersa?.

What home decor item is a must have to you?

Great coffee table books and fresh flowers are always a a?must havea? for most rooms. Fresh flowers helps to soften the room, while welcoming and appear to look lived in. Trader Joeas and Whole Foods stook great blooms at amazing prices. A $10 per week flower budget will increase your happy ten fold.

If you could only shop in store for your home which would it be and why?

If there was only one store that we could shop in, it would be Restoration Hardware. RH has great pieces that can be built upon, they also have a great mixture of quality transitional and modern pieces, making it easy to blend with other products, personal collections and unique finds

Our favorite fabric and color can easily change from week to week. Currently, we are in love with the slightly avant garde a?Duquetteriea? by Jim Thompson Fabrics. It is bold, tribal and fun.

What is your favorite room in your home?

People tend to neglect their bedrooms because they are more interested in the common areas like the living room, dining room, and entry. My most favorite room in the house is my bedroom. Decorating your bedroom first is the ultimate gift to you. It puts you in charge of your household, comfort and peace.

What is your favorite DIY project for a client ?

Our favorite DIY projects to do for clients are the custom wall treatments. We like to create new patterns and turn them into wallpapers or use paint to influence a more custom look in a space.

Describe your decor style in one sentence?

Our design and decor style is very bold and eclectic.
