As the founder of Black Southern Belle, I was inspired by my home decor and wedding experience to develop a site that showed things that were distinctively southern and distinctively black. I used that motto to decorate my home and plan my wedding. One of the first things  I knew for my weddings was that I wanted it at Emanuel AME. As a lowcountry native, with family who has been in the area since slavery, there was no other place for me to have my wedding ceremony.
Emanuel AME is still a symbol of strength, love and community, not just for African Americans, but for all of  Charleston and the US. Emanuel AME and its history represents the American dream of determination and support for the community. Today, I stand with Emanuel AME, Charleston and nation to honor and celebrate this historic monument by sharing some of the images from my wedding ceremony.
. These pictures mean so much to me after this tragic incident and I will cherish them, Emanuel AME, and Charleston forever.
