Tastemaker Feature: Miami Food Tour with a Beauty Entrepreneur

Lulu Cordero is the CEO & Founder of Bomba Curls, an all-natural, nontoxic, premium Dominican style line of hair care products, developed to celebrate curly hair. Growing up in a world where mainstream media didn’t depict or deem curls beautiful, Lulu decided to make it her mission to create a brand that celebrated natural coils and kinks. Lulu saved up for over 10 years in order to launch Bomba Curls and did so in August of 2019. Using her Afro-Dominicana roots as inspiration, she formulates hair potions made with Dominican beauty secrets and island ingredients. Since its launch in September 2019 Bomba Curls has been featured in Byrdie, Brit+Co, The Zoe Report, Essence and last month it was the first Afro-Latina female founded company to be seen on Vogue.com! With Miami, Florida roots, we are highlighting this beauty entrepreneur’s favorite foodie places to explore in Miami Florida. Check out her food tour below!

My favorite spot in Miami for brunch! Every single thing on the menu is so good…I’m always left wishing I had room for more. The atmosphere is also very Miami, which makes it another reason why I love coming here.

Milly’s Restaurant

You know I love a good, authentic Dominican, home-cooked meal and Milly’s is the closest I can get to mom’s cooking. The mofongo is amazing and since it’s near the airport I tend to make it my first stop any time I come back to Miami after a long trip.

Joe’s Stone Crab

It’s an iconic Miami restaurant that’s over 100 years old.  Not only does the space have a really cool, vintage vibe but they also have some of the freshest seafood in town (which says a lot) and is the only place anyone should EVER go to for some Florida stone crab claws.
