Classic Fashion Inspiration: Winterizing Caftans

Classic Fashion Inspiration: Winterizing Caftans

Who doesn’t love a caftan? Either spelled with a “c” or a “k” (and both are correct by the way), a caftan is a loose fitting dress with full sleeves and is the perfect all-year-round addition to any wardrobe. And women love to wear them over and over because they are so freakin’ comfortable.

During the cooler months of the year, caftans might not be the first clothing item that is thought of. However, caftans are extremely versatile and come in a variety of fabrics, textures and patterns. So, when looking for a caftan for the winter, look for one with heavier fabric (and is not see through) and pair it with your favorite leggings, a long sleeve tee and boots or ballet flats (see below).

Caftans are also great to wear to formal events. There are so many stunning dresses out that truly take your breath away. Imagine going to a formal event and actually being able to wear something comfortable. I love the formal caftans below and you can easily style each with a pair of beautiful heels and bold statement jewelry.
