What is your favorite thing about being a mom?
My favorite thing about being a mom is nurturing the development of my child and seeing those efforts come to life as he matures.
What do you love about raising your children in the South?
I love the sense of tradition that such as church, chivalry, SEC football, etc. that accompanies living in the south.
What are some of their favorite southern dishes to eat?
Some of my favorite southern dishes to prepare include sweet potato soufflé, mustard greens, sweet tea, and barbecue short ribs.
Why did you choose this location to do the family photo shoot?
I chose Lake Acworth as the location for our photo shoot because I really wanted to showcase our appreciation for the outdoors. This location was perfect as it allowed us to take advantage of the lake, bridge, and traditional southern gazebo.
What are your favorite lessons to teach your children?
Two lessons that I have instilled in my son since he was two years old are:
“Do what you have to do so you can do what you want to do.”
“Be a leader and not a follower.”
What is your favorite southern activity to do with them?
My son has been playing baseball since he was four years old and his dream is to be a major league baseball player. To that end, we nurture that dream by participating in the travel baseball tournaments.
Do you have any favorite restaurants you like to take them?
Our favorite after-church ritual is to eat breakfast at Cracker Barrel.

What southern values do you hope they inherit as they grow up?
As my child matures into adulthood, I hope that he will inherit our commitment to God, family, and chivalry.
What advice did you get from your mother on parenting?
My mother advised me not to rely on others to teach my child. She encouraged me to be my child’s first teacher and biggest advocate.
