The Arkansas Delta is composed of African American history and heritage. Since 1721, African Ameicans have been in the area of Arkansas and now the history continues. Although slavery lasted until the early 1800s, African American Arkansans impacted the region in the way of life from agriculture to tradition. The Arkansas Delta is known for its acres of land in cotton, rice, soybeans, corn and wheat.
