What is your personal life motto: “Never hope for it more than you work for it!”
What is the most challenging professional obstacle you have had: I think as a woman, especially a Black woman, it can be difficult to get the respect that you deserve in our male dominated society. It has been a struggle to prove my capabilities while not coming off as too aggressive while also not being too complacent as to just fit in to the role they expect you to assume.
Who is your favorite character a “Different World”: Dwayne Wayne. How can you not love a man like Dwayne?!
If you could do any job, what would that be? Something in the music industry that would allow me to be surrounded by amazing music and artistry while also travelling the world!
Who do you wish you could meet? So many greats that have left this world too soon! Tupac, Whitney Houston, Nelson Mandela; Living: The entire Obama family, Malala Yousafzai
What would your best friend say is the best/most annoying quality about yourself? Best: I’m very loyal. Worst: I’m blunt and often a bit too honest.
What advice would you give your younger college self? Live in the moment and don’t worry as much about other’s perception of you
