Favorite thing about being southern: Fishing (with my husband), the food, and the culture.
What is your personal life motto? “Be the change you wish to see in the world.”
What is the most challenging professional obstacle you have had? I feel like my job doesn’t allow me to make a positive impact in my community.
Who is your favorite character a “Different World”? Winifred (Cree Summer). She was quirky and eclectic. That’s how I was as an undergraduate.
If you could do any job, what would that be? My dream job is to start and run a nonprofit focused on helping young girls become leaders.
Who do you wish you could meet? Sanaa Lathan. (I always think of her as an unofficial Black Southern Belle)
What would your best friend say is the best/most annoying quality about yourself? Best quality: willingness to help others/Worst quality: indecisiveness
What advice would you give your younger college self? Study abroad. Travel often and see the world.
