Why did you decide to start a business?

What is your favorite client story?
I participate in the Celadon Sunday Flea & once had a customer pop-in all the way from Kentucky! We communicated through Instagram & it was such a sweet surprise to meet her and have her shop my collection in person!
What is your website?
Who are some of your business idols?
Roxy Te, Designer of Society Social- absolutely obsessed with her classic yet fun designs & space. Love seeing her evolve her family’s business into something that is still cherished and loved today!
Emily McCarthy, Designer & Shoppe Owner-love her designs & shop idea–would love to have a small shop like hers in the future that celebrates life & brings happiness to anyone who enters!
Do you have any mentors?
I think of my daddy as my biggest mentor! He’s an entrepreneur & hustler too! He doesn’t always understand the latest tassel trend but supports me through all of my business ventures– whether encouraging words or being my voice of reason!

Obtaining the mindset of “community over competition.” Every business will face competition but I’ve found that joining together with similar businesses and networking has been the most helpful thing for my business.

Currently craving Dottie’s Toffee, made in my hometown–Spartanburg, SC–such a sweet treat!
What is your favorite item or piece of clothing to wear/use while doing business?
My pink & navy apron that I made. My mom is a designer so she’s always encouraged us to be creative & sew things. It has a place for everything that I need & is finished off with a big navy & white striped bow.2
