Check Out The Juneteenth Menu on Food Network

I am excited to share with you all The Juneteenth Menu, my new series with Food Network. A few of my favorite chefs stopped by to share their favorite recipes perfect for my outdoor Juneteenth celebration. I talk to them about the history, traditions, and foods associated with Juneteenth.

In the first episode, I show you how to make Lowcountry Shrimp and Sausage Muscadine Skewers. My friend Taneka Reaves, Co-founder of The Cocktail Bandits, shares her Hibiscus & Whiskey Red Star Cocktail just for my Juneteenth Menu, paying homage to the rich history of African Americans.

Taneka Reaves and her partner Johnny Caldwell were named two of Charleston’s 50 Most Progressive in 2016 and listed among Imbibe Magazine’s ’75 People to Watch in 2018′. This duo has helped me create incredible parties with their clever cocktails while promoting female empowerment through advocacy within the food community.
