What do you love about southern decor? I love that southern décor is a presentation of items that are diverse in age. Often times you see collected items, family heirlooms – things that serve a look and sentimental value as well.

What is your favorite room to decorate and why? My favorite room to decorate is the living area, mostly because it functions differently for everybody. I get to come up with creative solutions for clients that use their living room in different ways. From those that don’t leave the couch all weekend, to those that work from home and prefer to do so in the living area. Factor in children and/or pets and the possibilities are endless!

What home decor item is a must have to you? Custom built in shelving. It’s definitely an investment, but it completely transforms the look of the space. It also creates seamless storage options. And the best part, it adds value to your home.

If you could only shop in store for your home which would it be and why? This is a hard one…. I’d probably go with Arhaus. They do a beautiful mix of classic styles with a hint of global flair. Their merchandise is all one of a kind too which makes them unique.

Do you have a favorite fabric pattern or color?Hmmm…I’d probably have a different answer for every day of the week, but Schumacher’s Chiang Mai Dragon pattern almost brings tears to my eyes. So does the $300/yard price tag, but hey! You didn’t ask if I had any, you just asked which was my favorite. LOL

What is your favorite southern dish? I guess it’s not the most interesting thing, but I love macaroni and cheese. Baked til it’s golden and bubbly up top. It’s the ultimate comfort food.

What are some of your favorite southern decor brands and why? I love Sugarboo and co. Their brand is so fun and whimsical. Linen & Flax home is another great option. It fits right in on the main street of Historic Roswell, Ga. Lots of distressed wood and farmhouse decor

How can we connect with you? I’m most active on Instagram: @innerbeautyco. But also visit my shiny, new website where I’ll be blogging and keeping up with all sorts of design interests.

What is your favorite room in your home? My favorite room in my home is our bedroom. I’ve been known to work so hard and so long that I wind up crashing and spending an entire day in bed to recover. It’s oddly one of my favorite things to do. Spending the day eating in bed, napping off and on and watching movies.
