How did you meet? We met at a mutual friends social while students were on summer break from college.
How long have you date? We dated for 6 years
How did he propose? I had recently moved into my new apartment and a few of my close friends wanted to come visit while she was out and see my place. While they were there, they asked to see my rooftop deck. I became difficult and refused because I was hungry and I knew Greg was supposed to be taking me out to dinner. After a while I finally dragged my friends to the roof and to my surprise I was greeted with photographers and our song playing. He came out and proposed to me and I was beyond surprised. It was the happiest moment of my life 🙂
When did you know he was the one? I knew that Greg was the one when he picked up a random weekend while in college and drove 7 hours to see me for my birthday. He was busy at the time with finals, but he took the time to make me a top priority.
What is the cutest thing he has done for you without you asking? He cooks for me all through the week and makes sure that I am good because he knows my job as a teacher can become overwhelming.
What is something you love about him that has completely changed your life? I love his passion for helping people and prioritizing serving others before serving himself. I would say I used to be somewhat selfish, but he has shown me how to love God and others in a pure, unconditional way.
What part of wedding planning is making you crazy? Combining differing family opinions
What part of wedding planning can you not live without? Honeymoon planning
What was your first thought the day after your engagement? We need a date! I knew he was the one and although I want a beautiful wedding, I just knew I wanted to be married and share my life with him even more.
We love a good Black Southern Bride love story and this one is one of the best. You can tell how much love these two have for each other. This engagement is just the beginning and we wish them the best in wedding planning and in marriage!
