Meet Keisha, fashion designer and owner of The Lotus Bloom Co. She offers handmade tulle skirts and apparel for those looking for a more custom look. Her desire is to provide high-quality tulle fashion that is beautiful, functional and garners joy… and plenty of compliments. Not only does she create beautiful custom pieces by hand but she also inspires others to bloom where they are. She can be found around the city partaking in local-maker events, public speaking to youth about entrepreneurial life and mentoring others on how to create a business based on their passion.
We fell in love with an outfit she designed for a Hollywood themed event that she attended and wanted to share it with a larger audience. We could definitely see this design used by a bride or by anyone looking for a chic and classic gown for a special occasion. We paired her look with clean and minimalistic venue (Habitat at Seya) with fun elements like paint splattered balloons by Jess Albins Events and triangular fixtures decorated with artificial greenery by The Rogue Petal Co. All vendors used for her portrait session are based in Baltimore and it was absolutely beautiful being able to pull different talents from all over the city to create this scene.
Her style is so invoking that we wanted to create a whole scene just for her to help express her brand personally. It takes a lot of courage for those who work so hard behind the scenes to step out in front of the camera. We were so happy to create an environment that was comfortable enough for her to shine so that we could share with the world all the wonderful things that she does right here in our own city of Baltimore.
