What do you love about Southern Décor?
I Love that Southern Décor often will bring in elements from different time periods, allowing for a warm and inviting interior.

What is your favorite room to decorate, and why?
Living rooms are my favorite to decorate, because they are spaces that the homeowners use in their everyday life, but they also need consideration for guests and entertaining.

What home décor item is a must have to you?
Fresh flowers are a must have for my living spaces.

If you could only shop in once store for you home which would it be?
I would shop at Wilson Lee Interiors and her. It is my retail space and a true lifestyle boutique. In it is everything I want for myself, friends and family without having to go to a large store.

Do you have a favorite fabric pattern or color?
I do not have a favorite fabric pattern or color.  They are all beautiful, especially when implemented in the correct setting, there is something for everyone.

What is your favorite southern dish?
Shrimp and Grits! I like all seafood, and grits are a staple in southern cooking. The flavor of the shrimp when it is seasoned just right is just hard to top.

What are some of your favorite southern décor brands?
One of the reasons that I decided to start my own interior design firm was because of how challenging it is to find home décor that reflected my southern sensibilities while also being current and stylish. So, I am proud to say that my favorite southern brand is Wilson Lee Interiors.

How can we connect with you?
There are many great ways to connect with me. I am easily reachable on my website, facebook, Instagram, google plus, houzz, and most other social media. However, I also connect with clients through my Designer Matchmaker service, where I am able to provide great interior design to clients near or far in a comprehensive and easy to manage way. I also host a web series and in-studio classes called Design Tea with Wilson Lee where I connect with everyone on various design dilemmas and get to share behind the scenes looks at my current projects and talk about what new things are going on at Wilson Lee Interiors.

What is your favorite room in your home?
My favorite room in my home is my great room.

What is your favorite DIY project for a client?
I love when a client knows their areas of strength, or things that would bring them personal joy and satisfaction to be part of. In the past, I have had clients who faux painted accent pieces of furniture and small pieces such as picture frames and boxes.

Describe your design style in one sentence.
I gravitate towards a style that is classic with a little sass.

Describe your latest project.
My last completed project was a kitchen, breakfast area and family room makeover/ remodel. It was for one of my very best clients and I had a blast pulling together all of the elements that made a gorgeous and functional space for their beautiful family.

What are the best ways to style your home on a budget?
The best way to style your home on a budget is to be creative with paint applications that you can do yourself and shop for fabrics at discount outlets; their fabric is often inexpensive because they are discontinued. My best advice is to put your money where it matters to you, but remember that you often get what you pay.

“The furniture design began with this fabulous custom-made, white-painted wood, and upholstery bed. An antique secretary further joins style and function of this Parisian-inspired guest room. “- Angela Lee

“Utilizing a beautiful yellow and white striped wallpaper paired with the white wainscoting for my background was more impactful than paint would be. This wallpaper goes a long way in giving my design the drama that I needed, especially on the unusual dropped ceiling with its highest part painted blue. The absolute first thing I chose for this room was the hydrangea fabric, as hydrangeas are my client’s favorite flower and also appeals to my southern roots.” Angela Lee

“Because we love bling this bedroom chandelier works especially well when paired with the bathroom wall scones. I designed the bathroom ceiling architecture and added a little sparkle to it for good measure. The mirror is tailored to be just the right size for a flawless fit above the custom vanity. The light scones, which are mounted on top of the mirror, provide fantastic reflection.” – Angela Lee
