Mix it Up: There are so many framing options from sizing to frame type. They don’t all have to match but they should match your personality. I am personally a traditional belle who appreciates eclectic style and I made sure to incorporate that into my frame and size selection. I love a traditional gold antique frame but love adding a modern pop with a sleek silver frame. No matter what you choose, make sure it is your style. Don’t worry about what your mom or new mother in law will think. Those wedding niceties are no longer needed, back to being the Steel Magnolia that you were born to be!
Location, Location, Location: What are some of your favorite areas in your home with great lighting? Those are the things to factor when deciding on where to install your gallery wall. And I love them so much that one is just not enough for me : ) Because we were bridezillas and should be able to see the fruits of our labor with easy access.
Finding the Right Fit: Before you put 100 wholes in your wall after you change the location of a painting for the 50th time, create a game plan. One thing I always do is place the pictures on the floor to get an idea of spacing, size and overall look. Not to mention making a date with a measuring tape and leveler are all things that keep you from having to drink a bottle or two of wine just to finish the project. The stress should be over after the wedding 🙂 Unless your cousin is still mad she wasn’t a bridesmaid, then it never ends.
These are just a few of our tips on what to think about when developing your wedding gallery wall. Enjoy those precious moments all over again and use them as a reminder of your love throughout your marriage. Share pictures of your gallery walls with the hashtag #blacksouthernbelle
