Girls Trip Inspiration and Tips for an Island Vacation

Tip 1. Consider the location and time of year. It’s always important when planning an island vacation to consider if you’ll be going during hurricane season or when the weather isn’t ideal. Are you willing to pay a little more to travel during peak season? Or would you rather pay less and risk possibly having your trip canceled or postponed due to bad weather? Also take into account the different type of excursions you’d like to do to make sure you’re able to do them during the time of year you plan to travel.
Tip 2. Once you’ve figured out your destination and time of travel consider who you’d like to accompany you on this trip. Most people in your travel party should be of the same mindset (is this a relaxing vacation or are we looking to party non-stop?) so that you aren’t butting heads too much. Also consider varying personalities and the length of the trip. You may be able to deal with someone’s over the top personality just fine for a 2-3 day vacation, but when going away with them for 7 full days it may be too much. I’m of the mindset that you can’t just travel with anyone anywhere.
Tip 3. Plan your excursions in advance. Go with the flow and find things to do along the way, but also go into your trip having a few things already planned out. Not only will this give your trip a bit more structure and allow you to do those must see things on your list, but it may also save you some money since a lot of excursions give discounts if paid for in advance.
