It was my birthday weekend and I could not wait to see what Barry had planned… a fun movie date night out, a competition of some sort for the weekend, or even just a relaxing family weekend and dinner. But he had something MUCH bigger up his sleeve. A few days before my birthday Barry told me he wanted to surprise me with a photoshoot for the two of us. This did not seem like anything out of the norm because we had been talking about having nice pictures made for 2 years. Barry explained the only reason he even told me the surprise is because he did not want to hear me say ” but my hair is not done I can’t take pictures”. So the day of the photoshoot the weather was over cast and rainy out. I begged Barry to reschedule because I knew the pictures were going to be outside which meant my hair could go from Silky straight to simba from the lion king in minutes, and those are not the pictures we were going for! He kept reassuring me that the rain would hold off and the pictures would be fine! We met with the photographer in a really nice location and started the pictures. After quite a few fun shots the photoshoot was over, So I thought. I was talking to the photographer with my back to Barry and he grabbed my hand and I turned around and he was on one knee. According to Barry I gasped and kinda stepped back, my memory says different. He said some of the sweetest things ever and then asked the Big question, which followed by a YES of course, and lots of hugs! 🙂 ALSO the photographer caught it all on camera which was the best part! That turned out to be the best birthday weekend ever!
When did you know he was the one?
When I could tell he always cared so much about my well being, mainly my health. But the exact day would be his graduation day. I never wanted to go a day without talking to him or seeing him and I was scared of what was to come next, but our journey only continued.

Several things so thats hard to pin point, but he cooked a really nice dinner for me one day after a long day of work and it was a surprise.
