Nothing says Southern hospitality like a gift basket. This is a great time of year to teach generosity to your children by sharing the importance of helping those in need, and so we will be creating gift baskets filled with special items from Black-owned brands to give to our local church annual family giveaway. It’s easy to get kids involved by letting them select some of the products for the basket and if you can shop local.
What to Include
We filled our basket with Gullah Geechee seasonings, Muscadine Wine, Black Art notecards, and sweetgrass Palm Roses along with some of my favorite Black heritage books and even a few of my custom Black Southern Belle products including my coasters and stationery. Check out more about Gullah Geechee heritage here.

I find some of my favorite products by visiting Black-Owned Galleries, HBCU gift shops, thrift stores, and scouring Instagram. It has become a fun way to travel, expose the kids to new places and also support Black-owned businesses
Do you have any Black-owned products you think would be great for a gift basket? Let me know! We would love to hear about them and hopefully take a trip to buy them in person. Be sure to share some of your holiday gifts with heritage by using the hashtag #blacksouthernbelle
