I remember eating okra and grits for breakfast at my grandmother’s house over summer break. I think I have okra in every form or fashion but nothing quite beats okra with bacon over rice. Sautéed  Okra with Bacon
Ingredients
1 lb. Fresh okra, sliced
8 oz bacon, chopped
1 tbsp
2 cloves garlic, minced
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
- In a large skillet cook bacon, until all fat has rendered and bacon is crispy.
- Removed cooked bacon and set aside. Pour off excess grease and return to pan to heat
- Add okra and minced garlic to pan and sauté for 7-10 mins.
- Return bacon to pan and toss. Season with salt and pepper to taste and enjoy!
