Location:
I’m an island baby and I love everything about the ocean. So I knew for my maternity photos I wanted to incorporate the beach in some way. We took our pictures on Jekyll Island, a few miles down from where we were married. I think picking the correct location is very vital because you don’t want to busy background that’s going to take away from the focal point which is the baby, and also the love between you and your spouse. I also like serenity, something calm, and charming.Â
The Dress:
I wanted a dress that would stand out against the colors of the ocean but still compliment my skin and not give away the sex of my baby which is a surprise.
It’s very important, I think, with maternity wear to wear something that not only compliments you, but the bump. I wanted to show that you can be completely clothed, classy, and still be beautiful. I wanted an elegance timeless look, in which my child can look back on the photo in 15 years and be proud of of the outcome.Â
