1) What your definition of a Black Southern Belle?

I grew up in Nashville and was in Jack & Jill. My mother and aunts were AKAs and Links when I was younger. Those are the women I looked up to. They were always well dressed, well-spoken and well mannered. I was in the cotillion as a senior in high school at the age of 17. We were presented to society after taking etiquette classes, business classes and styling. That’s a southern belle to me, a woman that is well educated, holds her own in a conversation, looks lovely and is confident.

2) What is one of your most memorable places you’ve traveled to?

I’ve had so many test trips in my life. I travel almost every month. One of my favorite trips recently was my 30th birthday trip in June 2018. We went to Cabo, Mexico and my sister planned the whole trip. It was beautiful weather, fun times and good laughs with friends.  I will never forget it.

3) What would you tell another Black Southern Belle who is interested in creating a blog?

I tell any person that wants to start a blog to just do it. Start writing and brainstorming. Be confident in yourself and what you have to offer the world. Don’t compare yourself to others. You’re unique and there is room for your story to be told. Tell it.

4) What type of blogs or a blogger do you enjoy reading?

I am not too “girly”. I was a Tom boy growing up and still have traces of that. I don’t follow too many makeup and hair bloggers as it’s not something that I’m very interested in. I follow travel, lifestyle and music bloggers. Those that create similar content to me and talk about things I’m passionate about.

Leigh Love truly embodies what it means to be a true Black Southern Belle. If another business professional or blogger is wanting to find out more about Leigh Love check out her blog https://loveleighlove.com/ and keep up with her passion for travel, music, and events.
