Everyone knows I am a daddy’s girl and Father’s Day is one of my favorite days of the year. Your father teaches you how to be tough and is the first man you love. He takes care of you and spoils you until no end even when you mother objects. Dads and daughters have an even more special relationship in the South. My dad always finds a way to give me what I want even when he gets in trouble with my mom (long story of XM radio I will tell another day). Even when you get married, they are there to help you and the new man in your life (also buy refrigerators with Keurigs). Southern dads make you feel like you can take on the world and keep you safe no matter how old you get. Â Here are a few of our favorite images of southern dads and daughters. Happy Father’s Day to all the dads!
Had to share my own dad on my wedding day!
“Walking to the ceremony and down the aisle with my Dad was surreal. It was calm and quiet and I was able to take it all in. My Dad played a big part in teaching me how to love and be loved while embracing all of the ups and downs that come with such love. Having him walk me to the person that I’ll spend the rest of my life with was something I’d always dreamt of. As my dad and I were waiting outside to walk down the aisle, he reminded me to take a moment to look around and soak everything. Once outside, he whispered “Count all your blessing, remember this moment forever.” I will never forget and will always cherish this moment.”
