Mardi Gras season is here and we are so excited. Today we are highlighting some African American Mardi Gras history by spotlighting the Lafayette Mardi Gras Lafayette Mardi Gras Festival (LMGF), Inc. This organization began on May 20th, 1958 and have held an annual ball and parade since its founding. Today we are highlighting images of the past and present of African American Mardi Gras in Lafayette, LA.
