Tiera and Brian’s romance was made official during this dreamy ceremony dripping of lavender and purple. This southern couple’s Greensboro wedding was both classic and modern with lights, lace, and of course beautiful florals. See how this Virginia BSB and Alabama beau tied the knot this past summer.

How did you meet?
We met through my sister and one of her college friends. My sister spotted Brian at his job and just knew he was the one for me. Amber’s friend knew Brian already and gave her all of the details. She spread the word to me and initially I didn’t pay her any mind although I thought Brian was attractive. The next thing I knew, I was contacted by Brian, he told me he was trying to get to know me, and the rest was history!
How long did you date?
We officially dated for 2 ½ years.
How did he propose?
Brian and I were vacationing in Punta Cana, Dominican Republican for our annual couple’s trip, and this time, our upcoming anniversary. We scheduled a romantic beachside dinner for our last night on the resort. We had a wonderful candlelight dinner with beautiful love songs playing in the background. As we were finishing up our dessert, Brian grabbed my hand and told me that we’ve made incredible memories together and he wanted to make more. He told me how much he loved me and said that he wanted to ask me something as he got down on one knee to ask me to marry him. I was so excited and so shocked and of course, I said yes!!!
When did you know he was the one?
I knew Brian was the one a few months after we started dating. Brian was always such a gentleman with me. He would always open the car door, walk on the outside of the street, and he would ensure that I was taken care of and put first. His chivalrous ways and sweet spirit are just two of the things I love about him. I knew Brian was the one because he loved me in a way no other had and I couldn’t see my future without him.
What is the cutest thing he has done for you without you asking?
The cutest thing Brian has done for me would be making me a full course meal for dinner by candlelight at his home. It wasn’t a special occasion or anything but he said he wanted to do so just because I deserved it.
What is something you love about him that has completely changed your life?
One of the things I love about Brian is that he is an awesome protector and provider. I’ve always been a very independent person and with Brian, I’ve learned to not be so set on taking care of everything. Brian makes sure I am protected and treated like a queen!
What part of wedding planning made you crazy?
The part of wedding planning that made me crazy was making sure that everyone fulfilled their obligations and all of the little details I wanted to incorporate into the wedding/ceremony were done. I started to stress a little bit towards the end because I wanted to make sure everything was perfect and all of the final touches were complete.
What part of wedding planning could you not live without?
I don’t think I could’ve lived without a wedding planner/coordinator. My wedding planner helped take a lot of the stress out of the planning process and I am forever grateful.
What was your first thought the day after your engagement?
My first thought the day after our engagement was, “Oh my goodness, we’re getting married!! Let’s celebrate!”
What was your favorite part about the ceremony?
My favorite part of the ceremony was walking in with my father and taking my first look at Brian. It was such a special moment gazing at him as I walked down the aisle and I couldn’t wait to be his wife!
What was your favorite part about the wedding?
