Happy first day of fall! As we start getting cozy, now is the time to get our homes in order. Southern designer Chad James can definitely help us in this department! One of his latest projects included bringing a touch of Southern elegance to the Hamptons this summer when he designed for Hamptons Holiday House. Check out these three exclusive tips he has for BSBs for styling their homes this season!
1) A great go to trick to brighten and spruce up a space while adding southern flair is to add flowers to different rooms in your home, they’re low-cost and effortless. Hydrangeas always work best. Even better if they are from your own garden.
2) In the bedroom use beautifully laundered and pressed white sheets. If you really want to add that extra touch of charm – add your monogram.
3) For me design is about more than what you see. You should also think about what you smell. Bring in magnolias for the perfect southern smell. Use a candle, fragrance oil, or freshly cut stems.
