What is the most challenging professional obstacle you have had?
Being able to get a full-time job after graduating college. I wanted to go to medical school so jumping into a full-time job wasn’t a priority until I wasn’t accepted and I had to go another route. I finally landed a full-time position at Emory University doing clinical research! It took endless apps and working two part times in the interim. As far as blogging it is honestly creating a unique presence. Everyone wants to be a blogger now and there are so many others who had started their blogs 5 years prior so I was a late start. I hope that one day I’m a huge blogger and it becomes a source of income but it’s more of a creative outlet for me at the moment.
Who is your favorite character a “Different World”?
Whitley!
If you could do any job, what would that be?
Vascular Surgeon
Who do you wish you could meet?
Michael Jackson
What would your best friend say is the best/most annoying quality about yourself?
Best quality is that I care and see the best in people even if they have done wrong by me. Most annoying is that I freak out about a lot of things and I am easily stressed so I don’t take many risks.
What advice would you give your younger college self?
To not take on so many tasks outside of school work. I double booked myself all the time with club meetings and planning campus events and coaching a middle school volleyball team that there were times I left tasks to the last minute or would forget the important academic things. I still graduated with a good GPA but I wanted it to be higher.
