I love supporting small local businesses, especially Southern companies. It is half the reason I started this company. As I am always looking for artisan store or farmer’s market to pop up, I wanted to find a way to connect with small southern businesses from across the South and came across, The Southern C and knew I had to attend. Not only did I LOVE their website but I loved their mission and had to support. Plus the summit is in Charleston so that makes it a winner in my book and I couldn’t miss an event in my own back yard 🙂 Here are a few reasons why I support small southern businesses and I am so happy for The Southern C allowing me another outlet to do just that:
- Our Food is the Best: I am bias and not ashamed about it. If you are in search of a great artisan product to add your kitchen a southern business is who you should support. From biscuits to jam, you can find it all and it will all feel like home.
- Customer Service is 2nd Nature: Southern hospitality extends into how southern businesses operate. I love knowing the owners of my favorite products personally and how much care they take into making sure I am personally satisfied. There is no price on customer service and southern businesses take it seriously.
- They Give Back: So many times, when I am reading about a new local business, no matter how small or large they try to find ways to give back and give back locally. I am an adamant support of this and love supporting businesses who feel the same way.
- My Personal Style is Southern: These businesses know how to a Black Southern Belle. They know I love monograms, magnolias and better and make sure to include in their branding and products. It feels good to know a business understands me and that is why I love supporting southern businesses.
I am elated to attend The Southern C Summit and look forward to finding more southern businesses to support!
