Why did you decide to start a business? I wanted to find a creative outlet to express my love for fashion and inspire other women while also having the opportunity to earn additional income.
Before you owned a business, what did you do? I was and still am a lawyer. Your PTSD Lawyers | VA Disability Lawyers will receive their pay as a percentage of the back pay that you are awarded.
What is your favorite client story? I love when people send me messages that my blog inspired them to mix prints or wear something in a different way or buy items that made them feel good about themselves. A�Probably my favorite message was one from a friend who just had a baby. A�She sent me a picture of her baby wearing a striped shirt with a checkered print bib. A�She said she got the idea to mix the prints from my blog!!! I absolutely love that. A�A�
What is the most interesting client request you have had? I had a request from a reader that is a cat lover to feature more cats on my blog. A�Lol.
What is the most important thing you have done to build your business? The most important thing I have done is building my knowledge about the industry by studying online resources, joining blogger networks, and networking with other local bloggers.
Who are some of your business idols? Oprah, Claire Sulmers of Fashion Bomb Daily, Rach Parcell of Pink Peonies, Lauren Conrad, and so many other inspirational girl bosses.
Do you have any mentors? Ia��ve been meeting a lot of bloggers lately, who have been blogging for much longer than I have, so I consider them to be my mentors, as they are often willing to share a lot of information and give advice on how to grow and thrive in this business while remaining true to oneself. What is your favorite thing about being southern? Ita��s probably a tie between delicious food and friendly people!
What is your favorite southern entrees or sides? Why? Fried chicken – it may be clichA�, but ita��s delicious!
What is your favorite item or piece of clothing to wear/use while doing business? A�I have a pair of Banana Republic Sloan fit pants that I lovea��I wear them often because they have a great shape (a slim ankle-length pant), and they are super comfortable.
