5 Tips for Hosting a Summer Soiree
1.ADefine your color palette,Aand you have quickly set a framework for your table. Then, think of any themes. I like to think about each table as I do my own outfit choices. Flowers are the outfit, while china and serving pieces are the accessories. And, store-bought flowers are not always necessary. Make friends with your neighbors (or get your sneaky plan ready), and clip greens and flowers from the yard.
2.AItas all about the welcome. When your guests arrive, you want them to see that you have taken care to make the event special and that they feel welcome. Beautiful flowers do this right away!
3.ADiversify your guest list, and you add character to conversation and the flow of the evening. Ultimately, this mix of characters will provide for a memorable event.
4.AViva laAmusica!ACreate a playlist, and turn up the tunes! Music brings ambiance and most often always lends itself to a dance party after the meal! I believe in daily dancing!
5.AFollow through.AYour welcome is only as good as the departure. As your guests leave, I find that they want to feel refreshed, energetic, renewed. I like for them to feel like they have nearly been to taken to another place for the time that you are together. Keep this as your focus, and you will find your best strategy.
