Founder of Black Girls Travel Therapy Gives Tips for Hosting a Dinner Party While Traveling

Traveling is therapy for many people and we fully believe in its power to heal. One woman believed in this motto so much, she created a platform empowered by the mission of using therapy for travel. Karyn Lebanc is the dynamic founder of Black Girls Travel therapy. With chapters across the country, Lebanc gave us her insider tips for hosting a dinner party while traveling. Check them out below.

Black Girls Travel Therapy (BGTT), parent company of the Dinner with Divas Program has announced expansion of their membership program. Karlyn LeBlanc, a licensed Social Worker and founder of BGTT explained the benefits of the membership program. “Women are so busy taking care of everybody else that we don’t make the time to really take care of ourselves. If we don’t take care of ourselves now, how can we possibly take care of anyone else in the future? I build therapeutic experiences into every aspect of the BGTT and Dinner with Divas experiences. Our membership is affordable at $99 a year and $149 for a two-year membership. Our curated trips are all approximately between $600-900 not including air fare. I really wanted to make sure that I was not excluding women with tighter budgets from being able to participate. BGTT is a true circle of supportive sisterhood and we incorporate philanthropic activities as a way to give back.”

2.  Give away wrapped gifts to guests; women love the element of surprise and to be pampered.

3.  Decorate the table every night with a theme and ask guests to come dressed similar.

4.  Assign random seating to encourage mingling with individuals who do not know one another.

5.  Put a vent box in the middle of dinner table, this allows women to release stressors, celebrate good news, or bring up controversial topics.BlackGIrlsTravelTherapy.com
