If you are looking for a crowd pleaser this holiday entertaining season, look no further than this unique appetizer or salad topping, which includes a triend and true southern staple, pecans (who doesn’t have memories picking them!). This recipe comes from Hamby Catering & Events and is paired with one of our favor southern bred brands, Schermer Pecans.
Pecans on Fire
Yield: 1 Pound
1 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
2 1/4 Teaspoon Sweet Paprika
1 Teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
1 1/2 Teaspoon Black Pepper
1 Pound Extra Large Pecan Halves (Schermer Pecans J)
1 Cup Confectioners Sugar
- Beat until frothy- 1 Teaspoon Water, 1 Egg White
- Coat nuts with mixture. Place on baking sheet at 250F for 60 minutes
